Poetry

"Tea for Two" by kind permission of Valerie Tabor-Smith

This page contains links to some of my poems for peace.  They reflect upon human nature or the spiritual nature of people.  I wrote most of my poetry in Australia when aged in my early twenties.  I have also written a few short stories and a children's novel (written when I was fifteen) which I modelled upon the characters in a published book series. Usually, I find it easier for me to capture my thoughts and feelings in poetry, rather than in stories.  When I was fifteen I won a prize in the Young Writers Contest of Western Australia, for my age group, for a poem about a rock concert which I had written!

I hope that the offerings here will encourage people to respect, understand, engage in and celebrate our human experiences.

If you can't hear the music check that the volume on both your speakers and your PC is turned up. For Windows operating systems, right-click on the "loud-speaker" (Volume control) icon in the lower right -hand corner of your screen and adjust settings.

If you can't see the icon for the Volume control, for Windows 98, click on Start, then Settings, Control Panel, then Multimedia, and check that "show volume control on the taskbar" is ticked on the Audio tab.  For a later Windows OS click on Settings, Control Panel, then Sounds and Audio Devices then check that "place volume control on the taskbar" is ticked on the Volume tab.
