I acknowledge that some people may be uncomfortable with some of the actions outlined here and may doubt their validity or usefulness.  As just one example, in my own personal experience, people have claimed that civil disobedience (e.g. not paying a levy which is seen to be unfair) and certain other non-violent actions (e.g. peaceful protest marches or rallies) only produce "results" or have a significant (i.e. visible) effect if large numbers of people are involved and if demands are made.  However, what I think is that human beings like to know the certainty of events, in order to feel safe, while the reality is that many things in our world are un-known, including the intangible effects of such actions upon the minds and hearts of others in the human chain or web.

Rather than doubting the effects of any of the actions below if they are applied with good intentions,  I have faith or trust that the spiritual processes which guide the implementation of these actions, will further peace in some way.   Many people say that they feel isolated, insignificant in their actions, and frustrated over a perceived lack of achievement and/or lack of co-ordination of movements aiming for peace, but rest assured that there is potential for positive change and that Life is very fluid and incredibly dynamically complex.  One advantage of a decentralized (i.e. structurally fragmented) movement for peace and social justice, world-wide, is that it is difficult for those in power to totally eradicate it, that is, because it has no central or single core which they can focus upon, or easily target, in order to dis-empower it.

I think that each person who works for peace and justice in our world is united by the Higher Spirit.  I have hope in the resilience of the Higher Spirit to respond positively to all endeavours toward peace, justice and goodwill, no matter how seemingly small.   Faith (or hope), i.e. a positive attitude, charity and love can only "colour" the world with brightness and light.   Let us recall that the timing and events of mass movements or up-risings for civil rights and social justice cannot really be predicted, but when they happen, they do start somewhere with someone.
